The e-me by Mitja Mlakar: Sabanci University

A couple of weeks have passed and i decided to show you where i spend most of my time. This is Sabanci University campus.Yes that's how it looks like here. At the bottom of this post you have more pictures of the campus. Around 4000 students study at this University some 2400 live here. It's a small town. Here you have every thing.A grocery store 4+2 cafes with fast food and drinks a big canteen with over 900 sits, a big sports center with 2 big halls, gym, squash courts (you can everything for free),... even a big performing arts center, 24/7 medical asistance, post office, bank, bookstore, electro store,... (more facts&figures). There are 5 faculties here. All of my five classes take place at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS).The program is called Visual arts & communication design. The attendence is checked and also has a big role in most of the grades. Since i'm a big video and photo freak the first thing that i did is i checked out the gear. They have alot of good equipment here. I have already tried numerous lenses for the canon DSLR. They have a big inventory of digital cameras and all the necessary additional gear. They also have a green screen studio/video studio and a photo studio. You can check all the facilities on this link and on the links i gave you before. I never thought that i'm going to be so excited about a library (the proper word for this building is actualy Information Center at least they call it like that). But this here is realy amazing. They have such a big collection. And it's regularly updated. I have alredy borowed some books like the DV Rebels Guide from Stu Maschwitz whic you should read if you're interested in film making. And also the Adobe After Effects CS3 Professional Studio Techniques by Mark Christiansen. They also have a big movie collection. They say they have more than 1000 of the best movies of the world there. And they have also some other video material like tv series and documentary films or music DVDs.
